Tahereh Mafi's 'Shatter Me' on the TV-screen!

I'm back after a week in Germany and Denmark, and I have some very fun news to share with those of you who don't already know this!

Tahereh Mafi, author of the Shatter Me series, recently announced on her Twitter that we will be able to watch Shatter Me on the TV-screen in the future. It's ABC Signature Studios who will produce the series and Tahereh Mafi will be coming on as a consulting producer for the show.

Check out Tahereh and her husband Ransom Riggs' (author of the Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children series) announcement/adaptation talk video on YouTube with Xstinemay:

Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.
The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.
The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.
Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.
What do you think about this? :)

  1. I'm so excited! I think since Tahereh is going to be a producer the show is going to be done right. I really want to know who they will cast.

  2. I have mixed opinions about this...on the one hand, the books don't have too much plot or world-building to be spread over a movie, yet alone a TV show. But on the other hand, they'll most likely add in a lot of new scenes because of this and who knows if it'll end up making the series even better? Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. :)

  3. This is so exciting! when I first read this series I thought.. oh my god, this will make an awesome movie.. but a TV show?! EVEN BETTER♥
Plus Tahereh and Ransom are the funniest and the cutest couple ever!!! RIGHT?

  4. Can't wait for the Shatter Me adaption!
I think it will be interesting to see how it's done.
By the way, I've nominated you for the Liebster award. If you would like to participate then heres a link to your questions:
